Teddi Mellencamp, a fitness company entrepreneur and co-host of the podcastย Two Ts In A Pod, disclosed her stage 4 melanoma diagnosis with her followers.
Mellencamp, who was part of the reality showย The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsย for three seasons, toldย Us Weeklyย at the time, โIโm fighting for my life. But also for my familyโs life and all the people I love.โ
In February, she took to the social media to explainย that she had experienced severe headaches. Following a doctorโs appointment, they discovered multiple tumors in her brain and surgically removed two on February 12.
Mellencamp was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, but now the cancer progressed and spread to her lungs and brain.
โI kinda thought that I had already beaten it,โ sheย saidย in April. โAnd then a couple days later, I found out I had four more tumors. So thereโs so many different highs and lows.โ
The wellness coach also spoke of how her diagnosis has influenced her children whom she shares with former husband Edwin Arroyave.
โWhether it was good news or bad news, we all just try to be there for each other and find special moments that we can have.
โI know everyone says this, but I have really good kids,โย she continued.ย โLaughter has been a huge part of what makes it so much better.โ

After her brain surgery, she made a powerful appearance at a cancer benefit last week where she proudly showed her scars. Mellencamp chose not to wear a wig at the event.
โThe day to day decision of wig versus no wig. Crying days I tend to pick the wig,โ she shared onย Instagram, posting a selfie with a full blonde wig on.
โThis is my first night out since I got out of the hospital,โย she said.ย โI feel good. I know it feels really devastating right now, but everything โ it gets better.โ
In her most recent Instagram video, Mellencamp shared a positive update, saying her tumors have โshrunk or disappearedโ following treatment.
She has been receiving both radiation and immunotherapy.
โOne update I couldnโt wait to share!โ Mellencamp wrote in the caption. โAll tumors stage 4 (metastasized melanoma in my brain and lungs) shrunk or disappeared so I have 6ish more weeks of immunotherapy and doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course. Thank you to everyone who has sent their love, prayers, and positivity.โ
โI have two more sessions of immunotherapy, and then hopefully, I am done, and I will be cancer-free,โ she continued. โIโm going to keep a positive outlook, because thatโs the way my doctor just spoke to me. Heโs like, โYou did this. You got this โฆ you got that Mellencamp blood. So, youโre good.’โ
